Station 54 EMS Division

Coverage area: Stewartstown & Cross Roads Boroughs, Hopewell & East Hopewell Townships, and the southern portion of North Hopewell Township. Over 12,500 citizens. Over 65 square miles.

Staffing: Volunteers, full time paid, part time paid, and contracted staffing from Memorial Hospital. All providers must pass the rigorous state certification process in addition to continuing education requirements to maintain certification.

Many of our volunteer EMT's are also instructors for the state EMT program, Red Cross Emergency Responder, and Red Cross and American Heart Association CPR and First Aid.

We are led by a paid EMS Manager and 2 volunteer Lieutenants. We staff one full ambulance crew around the clock with at least 2 qualified providers (paid or volunteer). Our second ambulance is staffed by volunteers when it is needed.

If you are interested in becoming an EMT or Emergency Responder, contact our EMS Manager or any one of our staff to find out how. We provide the training at no cost to you. All you need to bring to us is your drive and dedication to help your family, friends and neighbors in their worst hours of need.

Both of our ambulances are very new (2003 and 2006). Both are equipped with new Stryker Power Lift Litters (electric lift up to 700lbs). Our providers pride themselves on being the most professional EMS crews around. Join our team! Help make a difference in someone's life today!
