Adhesives Research
On January 11th,
2006, at around 8:30 pm, units from Eureka Station 54 responded
to the commercial building fire at Adhesives Research, 400 Seaks
Run Road, Springfield Township to assist York County Station 63,
Loganville Fire Department.
Tanker 54-1 was dispatched
first. Chief 63 then asked for the
 next two trucks, which
brought out Truck 54. Engine 54-4 and Tanker 54-2 were
also dispatched.
Flames could be seen as the units merged
onto I-83, and very soon the mushroom shaped explosions. Truck 54 set up waterpipe operations, supplied by the
tanker
shuttle our Tankers 54-1 and 2 were committed to. Engine 54-4
set up water supply at the Potosi Rd pond on the other
side of I-83 to fill the tankers. Units were on scene until
approx 3:30am.
